HSES: How MAHHI Runs Health, Safety, Environment and Security
Health
Our health policy protects employees and subcontractors: early recognition and assessment of health hazards, hazard control, accident prevention, first aid systems and hospital arrangements. We retain the services of private hospitals nearest our operational base.
Safety
Before execution, the scope of assignments is discussed with the client, records are kept, reporting relationships for progress and accidents are established, safety meetings are held regularly and minutes are available to the client supervisor. Equipment, electrical tools and hand tools are maintained in good condition under continuous inspection. Safety and health audits run at least twice a calendar year, and a designated safety officer manages PPE, training, inspections and the management safety committee.
Environment
Impact assessments are completed before work starts. Our environmental policy covers noise, dust and fume reduction, control of harmful substances, pollution avoidance, general cleanliness, prevention of mosquito breeding, rodent control and periodic fumigation of work environments.
Security
We rely as much as practicable on our own security provisions: trained personnel, gate security and night patrols, with defined procedures for involving the police, navy and other state security agencies when serious situations require it.
